From July 10 to July 29, 2007 in Manezh Central Exhibition Hall  in St. Petersburg will be held an exhibition on the occasion of the 250th Anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts.

The organizers have decided not to go deep into the history and preferred to show modern achievements of the national center of fine arts. The jubilee exhibition comprises more than 600 works created by members of the Russian Academy of Arts in past years.   

The exposition is going to be diverse in themes and genres and will offer paintings, graphic art, sculpture, theatrical decorations, decorative and applied arts, architecture designs, monographs, albums, books, etc.

On display will be paintings by such noted artists as Andrei  Mylnikov, Dmitri Zhilinski, Zurab Tsereteli, Ilya Glazunov, Alexander Shilov and  many others. The variety of sculptural images in the jubilee exhibition  will be represented by works of  Vladimir Tsygal, Alexander Rukavishnikov,  Michael Dronov, Yuri Chernov and others. Of big interest to visitors are sure to be sketches  and models for theatrical decorations as well as theatrical costumes. Among celebrated artists  to be included in this selection is a well known theatrical artist E. Kochergin.
